Membership Fees

As the California Desert Association of REALTORS® is a member based organization we rely on our member’s fees to operate the day-to-day business of the association. The dues amount shown below is the amount that a new member would pay. Some fees may be different depending on if you are a returning member and your circumstances. In such cases, once your application has been submitted, a staff member will reach out regarding the required fees. All paper applications must be submitted with a Credit Card Authorization form. The MLS dues amount shown below may reflect the amount that a new member would pay. Some fees may be different depending on if you are a returning member and your circumstances. In such cases, once your application has been submitted, a staff member will reach out regarding the required fees. All paper applications must be submitted with a Credit Card Authorization form. That form can be downloaded here. CDAR MLS Renewal is due prior to the beginning of each calendar quarter. Please note that the MLS is only prorated for new members upon joining. Application fee applies only for initial setup of the MLS (first time or inactivated users). The Association is responsible to the entire membership to provide the best business practices in regards to dues and fees collected. Please be advised of CDAR and MLS Billing cycles:

Association Dues

• Membership dues are charged annually.
• Billing goes out at the end of the year prior to the year-to-be-billed, usually November or the beginning of December.
• Annual membership dues must be paid by the 31st of December.
• Membership dues NOT paid are considered past due on January 1st.
• Past due accounts NOT paid by January 31st will incur a $50 late fee and will be inactivated.
• Past due accounts (including late fees) NOT paid by the last business day in February will incur an additional $30 late fee from C.A.R. (California Association of REALTORS®) that is administered through CDAR. This fee is charged to CDAR and is up to us to collect from the member.
• Past due accounts (including late fees) NOT paid by the beginning of March will subject the member to Broker Compliance and possible termination from CDAR.
• If you do not plan on renewing your CDAR membership, you must notify CDAR in writing PRIOR to the beginning of the New Year (December 31st.) Any and all termination letters require a broker signature and will not be accepted without one.

MLS Dues

• MLS dues are billed quarterly.
• Dues must be paid by the last day of the month prior to the new quarter.
• For example, 2016 Q4 billing would go out in Mid-August.
• Payments would be due by September 29th (or date provided on the invoice sent) by the end of that business day.
• Any dues NOT paid by the end of business on that due date will be suspended. There is a five (5) business day grace period following suspension before members incur a $25 reactivation fee. If not paid within the five (5) business day grace period, the dues and the fee must be paid before service will be reactivated.
• If you do not plan on renewing your MLS membership, you must notify CDAR in writing PRIOR to the beginning of the quarter (e.g. September 29th or due date listed on invoice for fourth quarter example listed above).
