New Member Orientation

CDAR offers New Member Orientation to all new and returning members of the association. Check-in for our orientation program begins at 8:30 AM and orientation starts at 9 AM, and generally ends around 3 PM. We serve a complimentary continental breakfast, as well as a light luncheon. We have designed the session to be informative and useful to your business. Orientation will include things that you need to be aware of, such as:

  • Current and future MLS access
  • Listing web sites and agent presence
  • Member affinity discounts
  • Products and services to build your business
  • Dispute resolution
  • …and more!

Applicants for REALTOR® membership shall complete an orientation program on the Code of Ethics, meeting the minimum criteria established by NAR for new member ethics training.

This requirement does not apply to applicants for REALTOR® membership who can provide proof of completion of orientation in another Association within the past two years. Failure to satisfy this requirement within 120 days of the date of application may result in denial of the membership application. NAR mandates that the Code of Ethics requirement be completed every three years (current cycle: Jan. 1 2019 – Dec. 31, 2021).

Remember, all members are required to complete or show proof of orientation within 120 days of the date of application.

Note: Due to COVID-19, we are working on scheduling upcoming Orientation dates and will notify membership of when these dates have been finalized. At this time, Orientation will be provided virtually. We thank you for your understanding and will update accordingly.
