2025 Annual Dues & MLS Fees – What To Know

It is that time of year – 2025 Annual REALTOR® billing statements have been sent out. We want to make sure you know what to expect for your 2025 REALTOR® dues, your 2025 MLS fees, and more. YOUR 2025 ANNUAL REALTOR® DUES STATEMENT

You will be receiving a paper bill with your 2025 annual REALTOR® statement via physical mail, along with an insert that covers the fee schedule and what your membership affords you with CDAR.

For 2025, there is no increase to your local dues, which will remain at $150 as they have in years past. This is to ensure that, as a CDAR REALTOR® member, you can continue to take advantage of the benefits of your membership without any additional financial strain.

The total amount for 2025 Annual dues is $647.00, and comprises the following:

  • CDAR Local REALTOR® Dues: $150.00 (no increase for 2025)
  • C.A.R./State REALTOR® Dues: $237.00 ($6 increase for 2025)
  • N.A.R./National REALTOR® Dues: $201.00 (no increase for 2025)
  • REALTOR® Action Fund: $49.00 (optional fee)
  • C.A.R. Housing Affordability: $10.00 (optional fee)

The mandatory amount due for your REALTOR® fees is $588.00 (your local, state, and national REALTOR® dues), and $59.00 is comprised of the optional REALTOR® Action Fund (RAF) and C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund (HAF). RAF supports advocacy efforts to protect property rights and promote favorable housing policies, and HAF provides financial assistance and programs to improve housing affordability in California.

WHEN MUST ANNUAL DUES BE PAID?

The annual due payment deadline is January 31, 2025. If you do not pay by the January 31st deadline, you risk suspension of service and additional late fees incurred. See the graphic below for the full REALTOR® dues schedule:

If your fees are not paid by the latest date – February 26, 2025 – your account will be suspended with a CDAR late fee of $50.00 and a C.A.R. late fee of $30 added. Make sure to pay your REALTOR® fees well before then to avoid any penalties!

HOW CAN I PAY MY DUES? CAN I USE AUTOPAY?

Annual REALTOR® dues are not included with our autopay option. You must pay your dues in one of the following methods:

  • Pay Online: Visit our online bill pay link here and pay there!
  • Pay by Phone: Contact the CDAR office at 760-346-5637 and make a payment with any staff member via credit card
  • Pay by Check: Mail a check to CDAR for the amount due (please send all checks to 44475 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260)
  • Pay in Person: Visit our office at 44475 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260 to make your payment in person by credit card or check

Please note that if you are paying by check, you must make your check payable to “CDAR” or California Desert Association of REALTORS®.”

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT FLEXMLS FEES FOR 2025

CDAR MLS fees have not been raised since 2010 and have remained at $99.00 per quarter since. However, to align with the rising costs of operating and maintaining our own MLS system, the CDAR Board of Directors approved an increase in quarterly fees to $117.00 per quarter. This new cost is being implemented with your MLS fees in the 1st quarter of 2025.

While this reflects an increase of $6 per month, it was done to continue to provide an efficient and reliable MLS system to all of our members while maintaining a competitive balance with the market. This increase will allow us to continue bringing you even more quality benefits in the coming years, such as free access to ListTrac, the new Monthly Market Summary reports, and many more.

MLS invoices are only sent via e-mail. Invoices are sent to the e-mail on file with CDAR. We do not physically mail MLS invoices.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY MLS FEES?

MLS fees are billed quarterly, and are due on the last day of the quarter. With 1st Quarter MLS fees for 2025, they will be due on December 30, 2024. Fees not paid by January 6, 2025 will be suspended. If not paid by January 13, 2025, a $25 reactivation fee will be assessed.

HOW CAN I PAY MY FEES? CAN I USE AUTOPAY?

Yes, there is an autopay option for MLS fees! If you opted in for our autopayment option, then the $117 amount will be automatically debited out from the card on file. If you have not yet opted into autopayment but have received a bill, you will need to manually pay the fee for the existing quarter. Afterwards, you can then can add the autopay option for all subsequent MLS invoicing periods.
