NAR Director and NAR Shadowing Director Program Applications

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NAR DIRECTOR & THE NAR DIRECTOR SHADOWING PROGRAM

The California Desert Association of REALTORS® is now accepting applications for those that wish to serve as a CDAR NAR Director. This position is as a Director with the National Association of REALTORS®, representing the California Desert Association of REALTORS® (CDAR). The role of an NAR Director is to represent the entire membership of CDAR and be aware of the many challenges and issues facing the Association. The deadline for submission of this application is Thursday, February 29, 2024, by the end of the day.

We are now accepting applications for this position, which will then be submitted to the NAR Large Board Director Task Force. If you’re interested and would like to be considered, please complete our online application by the deadline.

All applicants to serve as an NAR Director must meet the qualifications as laid out below, as found in the CDAR Policies and Procedures manual.

NAR Director Qualifications:

• You must be a member in good standing of the Association with no unsatisfied ethics or arbitration decisions.

• You must be a current CDAR State Director.

• You must attend all NAR Director meetings, C.A.R. NAR Director meetings, assigned NAR Committee meetings, NAR briefings, C.A.R. NAR briefings, Region 13 Caucus meetings, California Congressional Reception, and be prepared to report about appointed committee meetings or other attended NAR meetings.

• You must complete and submit the NAR Large Board Director application as approved by the CDAR Board of Directors.

We are also accepting applications for the NAR Shadowing Director programCDAR is implementing the NAR Large Board Shadowing Program, where up to two CDAR State Directors will be afforded the opportunity to learn how the Large Board NAR Director operates and what duties and requirements that the position entails by shadowing the current CDAR NAR Large Board Director. The deadline for submission of this application is Thursday, February 29, 2024, by the end of the day. 

The program’s appointment is a two-year term. All applicants must complete the full NAR Director application, and meet the qualifications found below. 

NAR Director Shadowing Program Qualifications:

• You must be a member in good standing of the Association with no unsatisfied ethics or arbitration decisions.

• You must be a current CDAR State Director.

• You must attend all NAR Director meetings, C.A.R. NAR Director meetings, assigned NAR Committee meetings, NAR briefings, C.A.R. NAR briefings, Region 13 Caucus meetings, California Congressional Reception, and be prepared to report about appointed committee meetings or other attended NAR meetings.

• You must complete and submit the NAR Large Board Director application as approved by the CDAR Board of Directors.

• The Shadowing Director Term is two years and coincides with the NAR Director term.
