The single-most defining characteristic that sets REALTORS® apart from other real estate practitioners is our adherence to the National Association of REALTORS’® Code of Ethics. These ethics, along with our MLS rules and the CDAR Bylaws, are essential in making sure our members observe the rules and treat their business with fairness, precision and impartiality.
As a member benefit, CDAR offers its members and their clients a vehicle to process ethics complaints and arbitration requests, through our Professional Standards and Grievance committees, who are trained to enforce these rules and oversee any hearings that may be brought to them.
If a monetary dispute arises from a real estate transaction, or if you believe a REALTOR® may have violated the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, CDAR MLS rules or the CDAR Bylaws, you may seek resolution through CDAR’s Professional Standards Department.
