The 2021 Basket Auction

The CDAR Basket Auction returns for 2021 on Thursday, November 18th at 8:30 AM! Proceeds raised during the CDAR Basket Auction will go to the CDAR Scholarship Fund, which allows us to continue awarding scholarships to high school seniors in the Coachella Valley. This event will be a hybrid event, and we will be allowing a limited amount of membership to attend in-person and help us raise money for scholarship!

WHAT IS THE BASKET AUCTION?

Every year, CDAR holds our annual Basket Auction, where we auction off donated baskets to our membership. The monies raised all go to benefit the CDAR Scholarship Fund, where we award $1,000 scholarships to Coachella Valley high school seniors. Due to COVID, the Basket Auction has not happened since 2019, but we’re bringing it back and we’re doing it in style!

HOW CAN I ATTEND?

You can attend either in-person or via Zoom; either way will allow you to still bid on all of our baskets! We will only be allowing a limited amount of attendees in-person at the CDAR office (44475 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, CA), and registrations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW IF I ATTEND IN PERSON?

Now, we get to a bit of the legalize for in-person attendees. If you are attending the event live, you must follow the following guidelines:

  • All in-person attendees will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver and CDAR will be adhering to the State of California and County mask guidelines.
  • If you are not sure that you will be able to attend, we ask that you do not RSVP.
  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness prior to the event, please contact CDAR so that we may release your RSVP so that another member may attend.
  • To attend in-person, you must register via the in-person registration option.
  • When attending in person, please only park your vehicle in CDAR-designated parking lots and/or spaces.

You can also attend via Zoom and still be able to bid on all of our wonderful baskets! To register, click on the respective way below and register to attend! Remember, in-person registration is limited and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

           

I WOULD LIKE TO DONATE A BASKET! WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Awesome! We are so happy you want to help us out! If you would like to donate a basket for our auction, you must deliver it, along with the full basket description, to the CDAR office no later than Wednesday, November 10th by 5 PM. Basket descriptions can be downloaded here and completed descriptions can be e-mailed to Aubrey@CDAROnline.org or delivered with your basket by the drop-off date.
